A Little Bit About Me ……..
I am the Jack of JackAlddy Brands Inc, Founder and CEO
I have bachelor's degrees in English and Psychology (graduated summa cum laude) and a Master's degree in Applied Clinical Psychology (graduated magna cum laude). I have worked as a volunteer at Greystone Psychiatric Hospital in NJ as part of an independent study that I created for 3 undergraduate college credits. I created multiple in-house therapeutic groups for the residents and stayed on as a volunteer for 1–2 years. The director offered to grandfather me in as a therapist without my official degree. I had to, unfortunately, decline to pursue my master's degree and work as an assistant to the Director of the psychology program to help pay for my master's degree. I worked for 5 plus years as a counselor at a domestic violence shelter in Jersey City, NJ, with mostly court-ordered parents and children. My programs' director amassed a very long waiting list of individuals who were initially court-ordered but who wanted to come back voluntarily for my counseling services. Once scheduling conflicts and monetary needs forced me to resign from that shelter position, I had one woman follow me to a private practice in Belleville, NJ, taking a bus there from Jersey City weekly to see me. I worked as a therapist in Union City, NJ, at an Alternative Correctional Treatment program, where I again had great success in establishing rapport with clients, leading to successful therapeutic outcomes. Finally, I was promoted to Program Director for a Psychiatric Community Residence for 17-22-year-olds to help prepare them to re-join society as adults.
I am extremely confident I can manage the development of 50-plus programs remotely, meeting with all program directors weekly and as needed via Zoom or other face-based software.
Once I retired from the field, I created a business breeding hypoallergenic cats…..instead of helping many, many people with allergies be able to have a furry friend in their lives for the first time. I ran that business for 10 years and now, a few years after closing the business, have returned to a desire to help the original populations I worked with and address the current political climate we all face today.
The few years I spent in "retirement" have been focused entirely on renovating, designing rooms, designing property areas, designing products, building a "tiny" house, and most recently, Gerald and Freddy generating our business prototypes.
